VyprVPN has a strict zero-log privacy policy. It means, they will not record or save any user-data. Does VyprVPN work with US Netflix? Yes. You can use VyprVPN to unblock the US library of Netflix. You can also stream the British, German and Canadian version of Netflix by connecting to the respective servers.
During our test, we also managed to bypass the restrictions of BBC iPlayer (occasionally). If you’re a Hulu fan and Amazon Prime Video, VyprVPN is not a good choice.
On the torrenting front, VyprVPN supports P2P on all servers. With unlimited data and bandwidth, you can download all kind of legal torrent files regardless of the size. The official website of VyprVPN states that the company takes copyright infringement very seriously. It means downloading illegal torrent files through this VPN is not a good choice.
Ease of Use
When it comes to appearance, VyprVPN presents a simple UI on both smartphone and desktops applications. On the main screen, your current location will be displayed at the centre. Below that, you will have the option to select the servers. The servers will be listed out in accordance with the Country. By tapping the Fastest Server menu, you will be connected to the fastest server automatically.
Along with that, you will have a usual button to Connect/Disconnect with the server. On the bottom of the screen, you will have three menus: Customize, Connection and Servers.
Customize: Under this menu, you will various options like Public Wi-Fi Protection, Connection Per App, Kill Switch, Protocols, DNS, Automatic Reconnect and Connect When Android Starts. The menu will vary on desktop apps.
Connection: It will display the main-screen of VyprVPN app.
Servers: Lets you connect to different servers.
By tapping the hamburger icon on the top left corner, you will have menus like Account, Support, Blog, About and Log Out. Tapping the Support menu lets you connect with the customer support of VyprVPN.
VyprVPN Speed and Performance
Speed and performance is an important factor that you have to consider while selecting any VPN. To check that, we have tested the speed VyprVPN by connecting it to the different servers. For better result, we conducted the test on our smartphones with a mobile internet connection. To test out the speed, we used the Speedtest app developed by Ookla.
To find out the base speed, we tested our internet connection without connecting to the VPN. While testing, we got 37.5 Mbps for download and 9.18 Mbps for Upload.
First of all, we have connected the VPN to the fastest server and tested the result. It was very surprising to see the result. We had 21.8 Mbps for download and 8.75 Mbps for upload.
While connecting to a specific distant server, the speed of the connection reduced dramatically. We had only 12.3 Mbps for download and 8.52 Mbps for upload.
We also connected the connection by connecting to different locations. The results are listed in the table

The above results clearly show that there is no much reduction while connecting to the nearby servers. However, the speed reduced dramatically while connecting to the distant servers.
The connection time is also pretty average. It took just 5-8 seconds to connect/disconnect with the server. Overall, VyprVPN is not the fastest VPN in the market. But, it is a decent option for normal VPN users.

As we mentioned in the overview table, VyprVPN supports different protocols like Chameleon, L2TP, OpenVPN and PPTP. Moreover, VyprVPN uses AES-256 as standard encryption and OpenVPN as default protocol, the option which every VPN users looking for. Besides that, it also had inbuilt protection to prevent DNS leaks.
To block the unwanted traffic, you will have NAT firewall and Port 443 support. The Chameleon protocol ensures VyprVPN is easily accessible in high-censorship countries.
